And this time he struck it hot at Cafe’ Caliente in the Highlands.  Every Sunday night Cafe’ Caliente has acoustic jazz and wine on their delightful patio, the largest (and coolest) in Northwest Denver.  M.Scott brought his guitar, his amp, and his silky voice as he sang songs from his album “Four Letter Words” and some of his latest songs, including his version of Tony Bennett’s “Fly Me to the Moon,” (a personal fav.)  On occasion, he’ll extend his creativity to write a song for members of the audience.  “Fhree” year old Abby and the cutest 4 year old boy in the Highlands were the lucky ones to have a song sung especially for them. Here are a few shots from Sunday.

Not sure when his next musial performance is, but you can certainly catch him in various roles this Fall at the Denver Center Performing Arts Complex.  Stay tuned!

When I was hired to shoot Cherry Creek North’s new website images, I found myself finding lots of interesting boutiques!  One such was the Blues Jean Bar.  A stylish locale filled to the brim with denim and accessories, I felt I had found a gem.  And well, they found that they really liked my images of the shop.  So, when “Where” magazine of Denver did a feature on the shop they asked to used one of my images.  Check it out!  And to see more of this shoot + other editorial/ad work, check out my website.

Emily Bradof, is definitely one of my favs.  A current resident of Chi town, originally from South Carolina, she’s beautiful, intelligent, and powerful + she loves all things art; painting, photography, poetry, dancing and music. Traveling to far away places as often as possible and spending time with loved ones makes her an excellent second shooter for weddings with Luce’ in Chi town and beyond.  But watch out– she’s infectious;  her adventurousness and severe hilariousness are just a few side effects of her commitment to living her life to the fullest.  It’s quite a pleasure and honor to have Emily as a friend and second shooter.  Take a look at her work, you’ll be glad you did.

M. Scott McLean is a very talented writer, actor, and musician currently living in Denver while getting his MFA at the National Theater Conservatory. (Phew, that was a mouthful! LOL.)  With such things under his belt like 2 albums, an Independent Film (that he wrote, produced, and starred in), and having co-written “The Forgotten Carols,” M.Scott isn’t just a pretty face.  He’s entering his last year of his graduate program at the DCPA and so a new headshot was needed.  In our session I was able to capture his loving and cool nature that so clearly shines through his deep, sensitive eyes and debonaire smile.  (Yes, I’m a big fan of my boyfriend.)  Plus, we had to celebrate the rings he had made for us, (made from wood from the tree of life),  AND– we most certainly needed to try out my new 70-200/F2.8 canon lens (with image stabilizing capabilities) of course!  Anywho, without further adieu, meet the next big thing, Mr. M. Scott McLean.

A man with a beautiful soul and heart, who I really love knowing!

Emily Bradoff rocks it– real hard.  And so its only natural that her 30th birthday party would too.  At the end of July, Em flew me out to meet up with her and some our fav gal pals from Charleston (and Ohio) who now live in various parts of our great country, (though mostly in Cali.)  Let me tell you sumpin’,  these women have a synergy together that is incredible!  When I’m around them all, I honestly can only sit back in wonder as I watch how much fun they have together and how much they love one another.  Just take a look for yourself, here are a few shots of our time together in Malibu.   Oh, and I guess I forgot to mention that they’re all pretty frickin’ hot too!  Enjoy.

Man, time has totally flown by!  I notice that now its getting dark before 9 pm and there is a slight chill in the air signifying that my favorite season, Fall, is approaching quickly.  This summer was a blast!  And what a major difference from just one year ago.  Last year I spent my time re-branding Luce’, and launching Current Connections, with little to no time to do the work that I really love.  Last summer I got the chance to work with Julie Harris and Andrew Clark and learned so much! I got the opp to shoot 2 weddings on my own + 7 weddings alongside these 2 fantastic photographers.  This year, I’ve had the great privilege of shooting 8 weddings during my first wedding season on my own, and ‘09 isn’t over yet!  Thank you to my loyal clients and partners for your generous referrals.

Ahhh, well weddings weren’t the only things I did this summer:  I had the chance to travel to a few really nice locales with great folks; Mazatlan, Utah, Malibu, and Nawlens.   So, to bring this summer to a close, here are some shots from my fav summer adventures, san Nawlens cause I already blogged about that.

Utah: I noticed that I don’t shoot very many landscape shots other than beaches.  But, here I go, “A” for effort right.

Mazatlan, Mexico:  Man, I LOVE photographing beaches! I guess most water signs do.

Jenny is an aspiring model interning here in Denver at Unleaded Software as a graphic designer.  During the Fall, Jenny is a senior in college in St. Louis, Missouri and once she graduates she plans on moving to L.A. to try to make it in the modeling world.   She contacted me earlier this month to create great shots for her modeling portfolio that will wow L.A. agents.  At  5′11′ with great eyes, a dazzling smile and legs that go on for miles, Jenny will most certainly make her mark on L.A. and beyond.  All the best to you Jenny!

I flew into New Orleans last week for a photo sesh.  When we arrived in the quarter we were greeted with nothing but the usual unusualness of Nawlens; men and women alike dressed in red dresses and tennis shoes.  Yes, it was the annual red dress race and the quarter was packed.  Ahhhh, such delight do I have for that city! After my shoot I stopped in a local cemetery for some shots.  The cemetery on this day was very symbollic of what life is like in NOLA daily; the realm between the spiritual and the physical aren’t that far apart.  Yes, NOLA truly is a mystical, spiritual place that is deeply rooted in my heart.

You know its really hard to share a good deal of images from a photo session on my site and blog.  I like to keep my site pretty clean and minimal so you can get a taste of my work.  My blog allows me to share people’s stories and my experience, but yet it still isn’t the best place to share the fullness of a session.   So,  with that being said, I’ve created a Flickr account.  Here you can get a more full picture of the type of work I do.  Be sure to sign up for an account, and by all means feel free to drop by often.
