Lori Auguste Sullivan is HOT!

Early in April we met up to do a fashion sesh with stylist Anna Bahr and a roll of red danger tape provided to me by my Uncle Chris.  Lori brought in a great 70’s one piece with dramatic lines to show her gorgeous form.  She’s nothing less than stunning.

On my last trip home to Louisiana my Uncle gave me a lovely, yet peculiar gift of a single red roll of “danger” tape.  (Yes, the kind you see at the scene of a fire.)  At first I was a bit uncertain of what to do with his thoughtful gift, and then a moment of inspiration came to me;  I’m going to wrap a model in it!   The tape gave me an avenue to explore intensity, vibrancy, adventure, and generosity.   To do so, I collaborated with stylist Anna Bahr to style model and friend Lori Auguste Sullivan, a woman who embodies all of the intentions of the shoot and more.  We all had a blast at the shoot + what we created together was nothing less than spectacular.

Danger can be fun.

Last Month I was able to partner up with Toni and Alex of Toni Palmer Designs for some fresh, modern and fun shots for their website.  Spending time with Alex and Toni is always enjoyable; Alex’s reserved, but whitty nature combined with Toni’s sensitivity and gorgeous red hair makes it a delight for me to spend time with them both.  Toni and Alex, it was lovely to see you both again!  I hope these shots represent you both well in 2010.  All the best! j-

I had the great privilege of meeting Mr. Pete Martinez at Unleaded Software’s Ski Lodge party last January.   He appeared to me to be very genuine and sincere as he engaged with the crowd who seemed to flock to him with a sense of excitement.  While there, he mentioned to me that he’d like to have some portraits taken of him and his faithful companions of 15 years, Sadie and Princess.  11 months passed with multiple e-mails and phone calls scheduling and rescheduling our photo session.  Finally at the end of November we were able to connect at Red Rocks in Morrison.

Many thanks to you all once again for such a lovely session!  I hope to work with you and your family again in the future!  Have a wonderful holiday! Jenn.

This is the one, the only Jennifer Levine.

An artist who is currently exhibiting at the Denver Performing Arts Center next week, she is also working on completing her first novel.  A Dallas Texas native, Jenn has southern charm combined with an unwaivering passion to pursue and share her gifts.  This quote reminds me of Jenn, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, and live the life you’ve imagined.”  Thank you Jenn for your open hearted pursuit of life- you are both inspiring and inspired. Meet Yolanda.

Yolanda is one of the first members of WGEF’s micro finance program.  I had the opportunity to spend an hour one afternoon in Yolanda’s home with her daughter Whinnie and her grandson.  A local WGEF volunteer, Kenneth, sat with me and translated as I photographed Yolanda and learned of her struggles with the LRA and her daughter’s abduction.  Honestly, I did not pay attention to what our translator was saying because I was so intensely focused on the beauty of Yolanda as she sat beside her daughter while telling us their story in the low lit setting of her home.  When our photo book publishes, Yolanda’s story will be told in words.  For now, I’d like to share her story through my images.

Early February, Nancy Clark of Blonde Productions and Unleaded Software hired me to shoot her staff photos for their upcoming book.  With her staff being creative, fun, and sophisticated, much like Nancy herself, we decided it was best to create playful shots with a bit of edge. Thanks to the openess of her staff, we got shots that spoke clearly to both the company’s personality, as well as their individual personas.
