About Luce & Jennifer
On my 3rd birthday, (that’s me on the left- yes, the one with chubby legs), my Dad gave me my first camera, and that’s where the love affair began. Since the beginning, photography has been a spiritual practice for me, as much as it has been a creative outlet. Having a tool, a companion, to get away from it all with, to see life anew, and to witness/capture my discoveries has profoundly shaped me.
I think my work in advertising and marketing + as a model has stemmed from my love of photography. Whatever angle I could connect with the camera I have. I’ve greatly developed my skills since getting my first camera, yet my relationship to photography is the same today as when I first began.
Photography reveals relationship to me; one’s relationship to their self, their environment, to others, and how those ties influence their life. Therefore, I approach photography with confidence and humility, knowing that when I’m photographing a person, place, or gathering, I am there to learn, to listen, and to share.
In the words of Yousef Karsh, “The lens is the extension of the heart and soul.” I look forward to sharing my experience with you through the lens of my camera.
