USPCC Aspen, 08.24.11

Last month I headed up to Aspen to photograph the USPCC race ending on Main St..  When Sarah Jane Johnson of Promo Communications invited me to be one of the photographers I was glad to be a part of the race, but really had no idea what a big deal it was.  Since I’m primarily a lifestyle/fashion photog, they put me on the ground to capture some lifestyle shots of the town.  But, no one including me, thought that I would get the money shot of George Hincapie winning the race, nor the shot of the winner of the woman’s race.  :)   Take a gander at that really exhilerating day last month.  I hope to be back next year!

The Women’s Race.

This French Cyclist is 59 years old!

Aspen getting ready for the men to arrive on Main St..  The feeling in the air was electric!

Here comes George!

Holla’!

And then it happened, George spotted my lens and thus, the “money shots” were born!
