In late October I had the opportunity to collaborate with Stylist Veronica Stapleton to do individual portrait sessions with the 17 staff members of Brown and Tedstrom for their new brand. To prepare for our sessions, we first made style recommendations based on the unique look of each staff person, then we followed up by having in-person style consultations to review clothing and accessories for each session. Our goal was for each person to be comfortable and to wear clothes that brought out their best look, while creating a cohesive set of photographs that represented the professionalism and diversity of the firm. For two days (starting at 5 a.m., not p.m.
) Veronica and I, along with photo assistants Rachael Brink and Rachael Stamps, created unique vinyettes for each staff member. Locations, looks, and even the time of day that we chose to photograph each person was customized. After 2 days of champaign, styling, and lots of laughs, we were able to create wonderful photographs that are both professional and stylish. Take a look at the final shots for the firm.
Though much work and planning went into our two day photo “extravaganza”, I feel very blessed to have worked with 3 very wonderful professionals; Veronica Stapleton, Rachael Brink and Rachael Stamps. Our two days not only went very efficiently, but the confidence and spirit of creativity and collaboration that each person brought is really what made our sessions pretty phenom. Here are a few outtakes of the team that day. Thanks again ladies!
V working her magic.
Rachael didn’t even need a reflector as she could have used her eyes! + It might have saved her arms from hurting from holding the reflector for so long!
Rachael and I, workin’ it and ownin’ it… per usual.
