Laura Garcia, Bridal :: NOLA 06.2010

In late June I flew down to NOLA to photograph the one and only Laura Garcia.  Laura, a NOLA native, has been living in Guatemala working for the International Youth Ministry, Young Life, for the past 8 years.  Laura and I knew each other from college through the organization, but I hadn’t seen Laura since I left Louisiana and she left the country.

Though much time has passed, some things have remained the same with Laura.  Just a few minutes with her and I was reminded how utterly wonderful this woman is!  She is literally radiant.  A blend of confidence and humility, her warmth and genuine love for life makes you feel so at ease; she’s someone you just want to be around!  Needless to say, I very much enjoyed working with Laura again.  Take a look at a few pics from our bridal sesh in the heart of NOLA’s French Quarter this past June.

Oops, don’t put it in your mouth Laura!

You can tell a lot about a person by their shoes.

(She married Ryan.)

We slipped into the Hotel Monteleon in the French Quarter.  Her lace veil, in her family for generations, and dark Cuban hair and eyes fit perfectly in the regal ambiance of one of NOLA’s finest Hotels.

Serendipity strikes again!  Laura was looking to hire a second line for her reception (I’ll describe that in more detail later), and after our shoot there one was!  After a bit of groovin’, Laura negotiated a deal with the crew.  p.s. This is in front of a Walgreens in NOLA… not too bad eh? :)

Laura, thank you again for a wonderful sesh!  I loved working with you and wish you the best in all you do!
