French Trapeze Performance, The NTC Class of 2012 :: 04.10

At the end of April I experienced a joyful treat; I was able to watch the 1st year graduate students at the National Theatre Conservatory perform a movement project that featured the low flying trapeze.  Utterly A-mazing…

The NTC teaches the Skinner Releasing technique, a technique that teaches students how to release energy and feel space in movement.  A great medium to translate this technique is through trapeze.  For two hours I was emotionally moved by the beautiful movements set in various vignettes.  From laughter to tears, I sat in amazement as I experienced the universal language of movement.  Here are a few of my favorite moments.
