I met Anne at her daughter’s supper party for the cast of “When Tang Met Laika” in Boulder early this January. I was instantly drawn to Anne from the moment I entered the party. Sitting in the corner of the kitchen, she had such a humble, yet beautiful presence about her. After just a short time of chatting, I quickly discovered the reason for my draw to her; Anne had majored in English in college and had been a photographer since the 1930s. Throughout the night, she shared with much clarity and heart stories of the wonderful life she has lived, as well as her love of the arts & humanities, the world, and more. Sitting with her it was clear that I was lucky enough to have befriended one of the great ones in life.
Anne is a new transplant to Colorado from Washington DC. Since that supper party, I’ve hung out with Anne and her friends at her Independent Living home (resort) in Broomfield two times now. Each visit has been full of laughs and stories that I absolutely treasure. Here are some photos I captured of Anne from our first visit together in her home with her daughter Norma. Anne’s beauty speaks for itself.
