Girl’s Inc. hosted its annual Fundraiser on October 9th, at the Hyatt in Denver’s Tech Center. The place was packed with supporters of Girl’s Inc’s mission to empower girls to be strong. smart. bold. Girl’s Inc is a national nonprofit youth organization that has provided vital educational programs to millions of American girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas. Today, innovative programs help girls confront subtle societal messages about their value and potential, and prepare them to lead successful, independent, and fulfilling lives. I truly believe that a mentor relationship can be one of the most vital relationships a girl can have. I can say very clearly that I would not be the woman I am today without the women who’ve walked beside me in my life. So on that note, thank you to Mrs. Hand, Marti, and Susi. Your love, example, and wisdom has blessed me tremendously.

I lovelovelove the picture with the checkered shoes – what a delight to look upon! I want to juxtapose it with the redhead in the black/white stripes.
