To say that Mica Gross is intelligent and wonderful alone really just doesn’t do him justice.

He’s an incredible man that deserves not only a blog, but also a book and possibly a film or two as well. I met Mica last Spring at the Trident, a fav local coffee shop in Boulder. Mica’s intense eyes and warm smile made me notice him– yet it was his Mead St. Tee that reeled me in. That first day of chit chatting about our favorite pub in the Highlands led to many incredible conversations about life, spirituality, and creativity that would in turn lead to the beginning of many creative ventures together.

Apparently Mr.Gross, a Boulder Native (… his earthly origins anyway), is currently the full timeProduct development Plant Laboratory Manager at AeroGrow in Boulder. In his spare time, when he’s not creating innovative pieces of art or working out ways of making our food healthier and easier to access, he is also founder of Mind Temple Productions. He began Mind Temple in 2002 through a shared passion for the languages of film, art, music. Mica and his partner Jamie bring a unique combination of scientific and artistic expertise to their work, which is expressed through the unique projects that they have undertaken.
Mind Temple’s production history includes music videos and choreographed stage projections for several internationally recognized musicians that include Bitter:Sweet, Devotchka, and Morgan Page. Mind Temple also has produced technical media for aviation and technology companies, educational films, trade show and marketing videos, short films, experimental media/video installations in art galleries and collaborative works in museums of art, including recent installations at MCA Denver, Exit Art in NYC and documentation work with Peter Max.
Wow.

Mr. Gross is an experience to beheld. I’m honored to have him as a friend, creative partner, and most certainly inspiration. Thank you for all that you are and do… No wonder they call you Mr. Spacemonkey,

xoxo
