In the fall of 2008 a most wondrous thing happened; Paige Wolf and John (Barack) Damiano hired Luce to cover their wedding in Vail in April of 2009. This is cool for a couple of really important reasons:
a.) Its Vail in the Springtime.
b.) Its them. (Paige and John are truly 2 of the coolest people you’ll ever meet.)
We met up in Vail to shoot their engagement portraits, surrounded by crisp fall colors that made glowing shots that clearly announce the beauty and authenticity of the love they share. The day was fun (as expected), and then chance met up with us right as the sun was going down. We were lost looking for the Vail Country club, the “perfect” place to shoot –tension filled the car as Johnny consistently took wrong turns. (ha!) But you know, sometimes wrong is right. We ended up at abandoned railroad tracks amidst tall yellow grass, right at sunset; the perfect place to shoot. Going with the flow is the way to go.
I am very much looking forward to shooting their wedding at Bachelor’s Gulch in the Spring. I’m excited to see what other serendipitous things arise. Great things happen when the right people connect.
