The main reason I love photography is that I get to know people; their hearts, their stories, and ultimately, the way they spend their moments. Its like I get to live a day in someone else’s shoes (I always wanted to do 10 different professions all at once.) Last Fall I had the privilege of spending a half day with Todd Roe in Boulder.

Todd is a model, stuntman, and actor who is currently living in his van in the Foothills area. He and I met on a modeling shoot at the Continental Divide last Fall and really hit it off (cause we looked like the Hansens– ummm…. bop!) so Todd invited me to spend a half day in His life with him.
Our day began at 6 am- I woke him up in the cozy bungalow of his van and he emerged with a smile as we headed on our way to McDonalds to meet friends for coffee. These aren’t just any friends– these are some of the coolest, most peculiar men you’ll meet, ever. Some men had been coming to that same McDonalds every morning for 20 years- they even have their own coffee cup for free refills. As the day progressed, we ended up at Todd’s special spot. He and I sat there and looked at the Flatirons and the vivid (vivid) blue sky as Todd shared with me his story- his beliefs- his passion.
Take a better look at our day together:
